What types of insulation do we use in our works and are they most effective?
WOOD FIBERS
What is Wood Fiber?
It is an insulator composed of processed natural wood fibers, to which boron salts are added to give it fire-retardant, insecticidal and antifungal properties. Range of products that stand out for their quality, being economical and environmentally friendly since in production the care of natural resources has absolute priority. Natural raw materials not only contribute to a durable and safe construction but also improve the well being at home. The raw material at the base of the entire range is wood. Insulators help protect buildings from the heat in summer and reduce the temperature indoors. At the same time they protect against humidity and noise. They help reduce airborne and impact noise to offer a quiet and comfortable environment at home.
Standard Building
For standard buildings we propose a range of basic insulation, focused on the general construction market, suitable for multiple applications, including interior partitions, roofs, facades and false ceilings.
Technical Building
For the technical area, our goal is to improve energy efficiency, fire safety and acoustic performance of a building. Technical range of insulation for multiple applications, such as floors, facades, interior partitions, chimneys and on the roof.
Exterior Insulation Range
Insulation for facades insulated from the outside, is a solution for thermal, acoustic and fire protection insulation for the construction of SATE-type facades, suitable both in new construction and in rehabilitation.
Air conditioning
The insulation that we work with at Pallars shafts for air conditioning, improving energy efficiency, fire safety and acoustic performance in ventilation ducts, air conditioning equipment, pipes, boilers, machines, screens, silencers and metal ducts.
Fire
It is useless to make sustainable buildings, if we do not take safety into account. The insulation system that we implement is extremely resilient to fire, it is a non-combustible material classified A1, which improves the fire resistance of the construction elements and limits the risk of spreading fire, providing those extra essential minutes to flee and carry out rescue operations.
FLEXIBLE INSULATION
The flexible panels are semi-rigid wood fiber insulation. They are compressible, flexible and easily adapt to the most complex contour shapes. They have high insulating properties that allow the home to diffuse water vapor, helping to regulate the humidity of the building thanks to their hygroscopic properties.
These panels are intended for the insulation of roofs, walls and floors. To make the most of its benefits, it must be integrated between partitions or coffered ceilings. This limits the uncontrolled exchanges of air and water vapor.

Insulating plate for plastering
Insulating panel supporting cladding adapted for thermal insulation from the outside. Water-repellent panel, open to the diffusion of water vapor in sustainable buildings. It has high insulating performance, both in summer and winter. Constructive system with a fire resistance tested up to 90 min.
Acoustic thermal resistant panel
Base panel for floating parquet, protects against rain and wind; It has an anti-vibration layer and an insulation layer against impact noise. This is achieved by felting and drying the resinous wood fibers and is soaking 10% with dry asphalt during manufacture. This allows the diffusion of water vapor. Simple application.
Floor support panel
Stable and sustainable wood fiber based acoustic insulation (against impact noise) under solid or floating parquet, up to 19 dB. High compressive strength: up to 15 to / m2. Open to the diffusion of water vapor. Compensates for differences in level of a maximum of 3 mm. Compatible with radiation heating.
Windproof waterproof panel
Tongue and groove insulating panel, which reduces thermal bridges, with protection against rain and wind for roofs and walls. High resistance to compression. Guarantees temporary protection against moisture for 6 weeks. Traditional waterproof panel, according to DTU 31.2
XPS INSULATING POLYSTYRENE
Extruded polystyrene (XPS) is a rigid, thermoplastic foam, made up of millions of cells with a completely closed and very homogeneous cellular structure; this allows it to have high technical performance and provides noticeable benefits to the construction elements to which it is incorporated. It is the ideal material for roofs, floors and foundations. It is unique in its combination of high thermal insulation due to its cellular structure resulting in very low thermal conductivity values; it has exceptional compressive strength, excellent mechanical strength and minimal shift in compression, it practically does not deform when it supports loads permanently. Its cell structure makes the absorption of water practically null, in addition to being a material that offers better performance against frost.
Technical properties
- Thermal resistance: from -50ºC to + 75ºC
- Compressive strength: 300 kPa
- Dimensional stability (70ºC and 90%):<5%
- Deformation under load and temperature:
- Compression creep (2% 50 years): 125 kPa
- Total immersion absorption: Freeze – thaw resistance: FTCI1
ROCKWOOL INSULATION
Rockwool is a mineral insulation that is formed from two raw materials: basaltic rocks (of volcanic origin) and the mineral coke (coal). These two minerals melt at a high temperature and once they are in a liquid state, they unravel into fibers. To speak of rock wool is to speak of safety against fire. Main characteristic is its incombustibility; in addition to being an excellent acoustic and thermal insulator and that does not absorb water, since it is a hydrophobic material.
SANDWICH PANELS
METALLIC SANDWICH PANEL
The metal sandwich panel is an effective solution to improve interior comfort and highly efficient to isolate it from the effects of solar radiation and cold with an easy and simple assembly system. We find the Imitation Tile Sandwich Panel composed of two metal sheets and a polyurethane insulating foam. The panel is self-supporting, they are used on roofs with a minimum slope of 7% and can be mounted on a supporting structure made of steel, concrete or wood. The profile of the outer sheet resembles the shape of the classic tile, giving the panel a pleasant appearance and imitating traditional tile in a very realistic way AND the Roof Panel with a joint type finish that covers the joints and cover the screws. This type of panel is indicated for all types of roofs, but especially for roofs with little slope. It has a central fret that gives it resistance. Formed by two sheets, one exterior and one interior smooth with a profiling. The foam inside is polyurethane with a density of 40 kg / m / 3.
