Wood Trends for 2026: A Return to Nature and Authenticity

The start of a new season means the arrival of new trends that will shape the world of wood and construction. These influences affect not only aesthetics but also the way we design spaces. In this post, we explain them to you in detail!

In 2026, there is a focus on connecting with nature and returning to authenticity. For this reason, earthy and natural colors will dominate. You can create a space in your home like an oasis, designed for relaxation and comfort, all inspired by nature.

Next, in line with this trend, dark-colored woods will also take center stage. These shades, in contrast to more minimalist tones, bring elegance, character, and depth, as they capture attention. Moreover, they provide solidity and stability, making a strong presence in a space. This creates a significant visual weight. Some examples include oak and walnut.

Furthermore, this season, following the idea of nature, we will mostly see matte finishes. These types do not create visual overload, and therefore provide visual comfort. Similarly, they have a subtle and very discreet appearance. Unlike glossy finishes, matte ones do not reflect light, and as a result, they help conceal imperfections such as scratches, as well as stains, fingerprints, and dust layers. Additionally, matte finishes look more natural, add warmth, and are easier to maintain.

Finally, this year we continue with more sustainable practices, using reclaimed and recycled wood. This helps reduce tree felling and gives a second life to previously used wood. It is a significant contribution to the environment, as it also lowers the carbon footprint, promoting a more conscious and responsible construction model for the future of the planet.
